Thesaret Labe

This group has been formed for five years, taking into account the passion for this value of cultural heritage, as the only spiritual wealth that has a completely Albanian origin, as well as our experience in the culture sector and especially in the direction of folklore groups.

The largest part of this group was made up of the elements belonging to the southern regions, including Tepelene Gjirokaster, Mallakaster and Vlore.

The main objective of this group has been the refreshing of the original motifs of the three that we represent, as they have been forgotten for years, but also of new motifs, which are not exposed.

Until now, this group has created a repertoire of 55 to 60 songs with different motives, has released 3 albums and has participated in many activities developed inside and outside the country, especially folklore festivals, where it has been evaluated with prestigious awards from the jury concerned.

The last festival we participated in on the 26th, 27th and 28th was the Albanian Rhapsody festival, which took place in Skenderaj, Kosovo, with the participation of 80 participating groups from all Albanian countries.

Our group “Thesaret Labe” was awarded the first prize, the Kulla e Jasharajje grand prize.

In the future, the objective is to refresh with new elements and expand further by transforming into a folk ensemble, which means a greater expansion of the group with other elements, applying also the Labe dance, as well as wind instruments that belong to the laberi, like the fiddle and the longare.
