How did we end up here?
From the early days of playing the folk circuit in the 1970’s, a passion to create and express himself through music has brought artist and producer David Cummins to this point in time and ‘the ffusion project’. Life and love, politics and the perilous state of the world we live in are themes that are all found in his ‘other works’, whilst ‘the ffusion project’, focussing as it does on the fusion of diverse musical genres and cultures, is a collection of compositions centred on both the present day, on the issues we face now in the world – and on the consequences of our actions and inactions that our children will have to face in an uncertain future.
Perhaps fate had already determined that musically I was always heading here. Back in 2019, when I rediscovered my passion for writing music, I wrote a track called ‘How Did We End Up Here’ that I released on my ‘Reflections’ album in 2020.
